Somewhere perched atop a ancient pine, lay Selosa. She was thinking, about Zexion. She had rather mixed feeling about the night-pelted tom. She felt a great respect, as he was Head Alpha. But also something deeper. She didn't know what this "deeper" might be, but it happened everytime he looked at her. She felt as if she would literally explode if he touched her. You're crazy, Selosa, interrupted her rude conscious. She puzzled a second, her train of thought in a ditch, on fire. Hmm what was I thinking... Oh well, I'm sure I'll remember it. She wondered what she was even doing atop this pine anyway. She aimed carefully, and jumped at the next limb down... Swish, CRAP! The noise, then the thought. Her tail had smacked the next bough of stupid, green needles, and knocked her off-balance. She landed rather awkwardly, half-on the branch, half-off.
Selosa fought for her balance as a small breeze picked up. Not helping...Stupid wind. After what seemed like minutes, she found herself balanced. In her struggle, her steel claws had embedded themselves into the tan-brown wood. She carefully lifted one paw, and then she was free. She continued on her descent, although much more careful.
Thump! Went the ground as Selosa's paws hit it. She sat down, and began to lick her paws. She was careful not to cut her tongue on the steel claws, that were shining in the bright sunlight above. She looked around, and saw an elm, a few mice, and of course, the swampy ground underneath her paws. She looked above, and instinctively, her eyes thinned to slits, and also noticed it was rather dark. She got up, and trotted towards her headquarters. As it came into view, she could tell it was a few minutes after curfew. Fashionably late. Chimed in her mind as she walked in.
As Selosa walked in, Zexion was spotted in the corner of her eyes. She trotted to his side, near a gray, deteriorating pillar, and coolly chimed "Hello Zexion, How are you?" She asked the tom. She wondered what he might be doing up this late. She glanced over to the twolegs' room, The lights were out. They were gone. She turned back to Zexion, calm as ever on the outside, but about to explode on the inside. She glanced into his eyes, beautiful, she thought.
